Hot Water Heat Pumps Ltd has two full time positions available: Service Supervisor and a Purchasing Officer/Store Person. Are either of these jobs right for you?

SERVICE SUPERVISOR - ADMINISTRATOR

The Company:

We are a well established business in the West Auckland  and are leaders in the field of water heating heat pumps. We pride ourselves on our customer service and our quality products. Due to the growth of our business we are currently looking to appoint a Service Supervisor/Administrator

The Role:

This is a developing role and duties will evolve and change with time.     

Key focus of this role is to handle the service calls, book in service jobs, ensure that the service technicians are efficiently performing the work required and advise our technicians and service agents around the country. The successful applicant will also be responsible for administering and despatch of parts orders. It is hoped that this person will work closely with the Purchasing and Design team to ensure that the parts storage areas are kept tidy and in sensible order.

Responsibilities:

To be effective in this role we require a person who is technically proven and has experience managing a team of technicians. You will need to possess excellent communication skills and be computer literate.

Key Skill Set:

  • Service Operation
  • Good Technical knowledge and understanding
  • Team Management – Staff Training
  • Good communication skills and good English skills, both written and oral.
  • Great time management Skills
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Computer literacy
  • Refrigeration or HVAC experience would be an advantage
  • Electrical experience – the ability to read wiring diagrams would also be an advantage.

Overview of tasks:

  • Supervise the Service Team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Handling of all technical enquiries.
  • Processing and despatch of all parts orders from customers.
  • Training and leadership of the service team and service agents to ensure company and personal goals are met
  • Taking all service requests and entering into our computerised service system.
  • Ensure the timely completion and review of service cards.
  • Liaise with service agents around the country and advise them on technical aspects of our units.
  • Ensure that our service agents carry out our work in an efficient manner.
  • Have a strong focus on customer service.
  • Ensure billing is managed and labour and materials are correctly accounted for.
  • Quality Control supported by documented corrective action documentation.
  • Cross functional communication and relationship management with other divisions of the company i.e. Sales, Engineering, Accounts, Purchasing.

Full training and support will be given, and a strong team of technical support personnel will be available to advise on issues as they arise. 

Remuneration for this position will reflect the experience of the successful candidate.

You will need to be a New Zealand Citizen/Resident and currently residing in New Zealand to be considered for this role.

PURCHASING OFFICER/STORE PERSON

The Company:

We are a well established business in West Auckland and are leaders in the field of water heating heat pumps. We pride ourselves on our customer service and our quality products. 

We are seeking a purchasing officer with great negotiation and organisational skills.

The Role:

This is an important role within our business which reports directly to Production Manager.  The successful applicant will required to work with the Sales, Service, Design and Production teams to ensure that all inventory meets the required standards and specifications. Products are sourced both locally and internationally as required.

Key Skill Set:

  • Good Communication Skills
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Good Technical knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings
  • Computer Skills
  • Good Organisational Skills
  • Purchasing experience
  • Inventory Control experience
  • Time management skills
  • Experience in logistics

Overview of tasks:

  • Manage the purchase of components in a timely fashion
  • Ensure that stock levels are correct in the computer system.
  • Work with other departments to ensure that components are available when required.
  • Ensure that maximum and minimum stock levels are adhered to and lead times are kept up to date.
  • Supporting Engineering in the sourcing of new or alternative components that meet quality/price and delivery lead time expectations.
  • Develop good relationships with suppliers, both local and international.
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure that the most up-to-date data is available.
  • Receipting of inwards goods
  • Ensuring the storeroom is kept tidy and all products are easily located.
  • Undertake continuous stock takes to ensure accuracy and report on all variations.
  • Develop positive relationships with all departments.
  • Take customer parts orders, process and dispatch of same.
